It also does a good job of cleaning pet hair, but it's not impervious to tangling as high-end Roomba models such as the j7 or I6.

The Roomba 694 is simple to use. It has three buttons on its top cover: 'Clean' initiates an entire cleaning cycle, 'Dock' puts it back into its charging station, and 'Spot Clean' initiates an targeted clean. It's not the top in its price, however it's better than the majority of other options. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with a much better cleaning performance on carpets with low and no pile. It also has a more durable battery and a more efficient path. It is also more robust, has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is priced less over its lifetime, and charges faster than 694.

You may also want to consider other models from the iRobot range, such as the v7 or the 981. However, if you wish to change the floor levels on the map or create no-go zones you'll have manually reset it to do this, which is quite a hassle.

The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones which are included on iRobot models. The smart-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, although it does have a tendency to get caught up on rug tassels, and its iHome speaker allows you to operate the robot by voice commands.

During our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to eliminate a large amount of debris on floors that were unfinished and a good amount of medium-pile rug. The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on a charge and does a better job of moving itself over obstacles. It also comes with mopping attachments that can tackle sticky messes. On the other hand, the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer parts that require replacement or maintenance, incurs lower recurring costs and can even create virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It can even resume a cleaning session from the point it started if it is unable to recharge its battery prior to having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a major benefit for many users.
