This robovac features impressive AI-powered obstacles removal, powerful mopping and an automatic emptying dock. It also has an HEPA filter which seals in allergens.

It's not as effective in removing pet hair or other small dirt as our top choices, but it's a great choice for those on a budget. It also comes with the most features in terms of apps such as virtual no-go areas and zone cleaning.

1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a sturdy and well-built machine that does an excellent job at vacuuming floors. It has a huge external dirt compartment that automatically empties into the docking station when full and resumes cleaning once it's recharged. It's efficient in removing small and medium debris from bare floors, though it struggles with pet hair and is a major cause of cost of maintenance.

This model, similar to the i3 EVO uses iRobot’s iAdapat navigation software to help you learn and remember your home. It has a feature which automatically adjusts the suction power and the height of the head depending on what kind of floor it is working on.

During our testing, it performed admirably on both hard floors as well as low-pile carpeting, picking the majority of the smaller and harder debris we deposited on each surface while tackling the larger cereal crumbs that we dropped on the carpet. It's not as adept at handling pet hair than some of the best models we've tested however, and it might become stuck on toys or cords in the event that you don't clean them up prior to sending the robot out to clean.

In our tests, it was clean for about 90 minutes before the battery ran out and then returned to base. It was more efficient than the i7+ and s9+, which ran for just 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO also has a fantastic record of remembering where it left off in an individual run however this isn't always the case with other robots we've tested.

The i3+ EVO dustbin measures 1.5 quarts in size which is smaller than the majority of other robots we test. It has a release button on one side of the bin that you can press to empty it. You can also empty the bin with the docking station's Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal. It collects the contents of the internal dust bin and then dumps it into the station's dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro offers outstanding cleaning efficiency, with 5,500pa suction and a mopping system that can start working within a few minutes. The integrated 770ml water tank and dustbin reduce the frequency of emptying, and its large capacity permits longer mopping sessions. Its 240 minute runtime makes it a fantastic option for homes with a larger size. Its amazing smart navigation technology, courtesy of PreciSense LiDAR mapping provides a wide room coverage, while allowing the robot to move around obstacles.

The Q5 Pro is unlike some other robot vacuums which require Wi-Fi to function. The battery isn't very long-lasting, and you'll have to recharge frequently if you plan to use the robot over long periods of time. It is fairly easy to maintain and comes with dirt bags that can be easily replaced and a straightforward maintenance schedule. It's also less expensive than its more expensive rivals.

The Q5 Pro can be a little finicky when it is dealing with pet hair as well as heavier debris, but it does a solid job overall. In our tests the Q5 Pro was able to remove more debris from carpets and floors than Dirt Devil Endura Max. However, it had a difficult time finding the tight corners and high-pile recessed areas. It's also more maneuverable, and the filtering system does an excellent job of trapping allergens. The straight suction floorhead of the vacuum is low for bulky or medium-sized debris. It also has a few other minor issues like the absence of advanced features and limited remote control capabilities. Eureka Q5 Pro, despite its limitations, is a good alternative for those looking for a basic robotic vacuum that can mop.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

The SwitchBot K10 plus is a great choice for those who want a powerful vacuum that also mop. The small robot has a small size that lets it get into small spaces such as corners and under furniture that larger robots are unable to reach. It also has an advanced LiDAR sensor that can recognize obstacles and avoid collisions.

During our testing, the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair dust, crumbs and other particles quickly and efficiently from our carpeting. It also did an excellent job of getting into tight spots such as under our bed or around the chair's legs. It can be used to mop with a separate cloth, or use a wet wipe. The K10 Plus comes with a small bag of wet wipes to get moving.

The app for K10 Plus is easy to use and easy to understand. It comes with a variety of options for customization that include setting a date when the machine will not be disturbed, adjusting its map layout, or setting a schedule of when it should clean. The app monitors the life span of various accessories such as the side brush, sensor and bin filter. This is helpful for knowing when it's time to replace them.

The battery life of the K10 Plus is also pretty good. We were able to get around three hours of cleaning of it on the full charge. It also recharges quickly. When it's finished with its job it releases the dirt into a large dust bin that is located inside its base station. This can be a bit loud when it happens, but at least it's not as loud as some of the other self emptying robot vacuums we've test.

4. iRobot S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the premium S Series of the manufacturer that is above models like the iRobot Roomba j7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It is very good in maneuvering around furniture and is able to work well on different surfaces. Its main brushroll features counter rotating rubber scrapers that effectively remove most dirt, including pet hair, from carpets and floors. The suction power in real-world use is impressive for a robot bagless vacuum robots, but isn't as strong as the power of top brands like the Roborock S8.

The Roomba S9+'s design is definitely premium with a body that is D-shaped that appears more contemporary than its circular counterparts. This shape allows it to reach corners and along edges with ease. It can still leave dust behind in these areas if you don't turn the corner brush fast enough. However its powerful motor compensates for it.

In iRobot's tests, the S9+ was able to remove pet hair and cat litter effortlessly. It also did exceptionally well on hard floors, as it made use of its powerful motor to push through most types of debris and clean the corners and edges with ease. Its advanced vSLAM technology and Imprint Smart Mapping made it one of our top navigators. It can make its way through sofas or beds with draped valances over them.

The iRobot App is easy to set up and use. You can choose the functions you want to activate in the initial setup process, or wait until you've got a better feel for the way it functions. The internal bin must be manually emptied after it has become full, but the process only takes 15 minutes and is quite quiet.

5. Roborock S8

The most recent version of the Roborock S series is an impressive robot vacuum and mop combo with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it makes use of an LIDAR sensor and camera system for navigation and obstacles avoidance. Its mapping system creates an interactive 3D map of your home that you can view on the app. It lets you create no-go zones or mark specific rooms for spot cleaning. The app lets you manage the robot's schedule and choose different modes for vacuuming and mopping for each room.

The S8 has upgraded HyperForce suction that is able to clean up small hair and Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair Self-Emptying Bagless particles with ease. The app lets you alter the power of suction. The device can also automatically switch between energy efficient 'Quiet' 'Balanced', and 'Turbo" modes based on the surface that it is cleaning. It also features a Carpet Suction Boost mode that boosts suction when the robot is on rugs.

You can manage the S8 by pressing a single button, which can be used as a general 'Clean' button or a 'Spot Clean button that directs the robot to that specific area. You can also use the 'Dock/Home' button in order to send the robot back to its home base. The app is simple to use and has an impressive array of features. You can even choose when to charge your phone off-peak to save money on peak time energy.

The only drawback is that the battery doesn't last as long as I would like. It lasted only 130 minutes when I was using it on normal settings that had both vacuuming and mopping on. It's still an impressive amount of time, and it was enough to completely clean my apartment.
